1. New Timetables

New timetables commenced on the 31st December in line with the Disability Discrimination Act (1992) (DDA). The DDA is the Commonwealth legislation that relates to accessible transport and aims to eliminate discrimination in order to ensure people with disabilities do not suffer discrimination when accessing services. It also aims to promote recognition and acceptance of people with disabilities within the community.

2. New Fares

Bus fares have been changed effective 02/01/2008. The Independent Pricing and Regulatory tribunal of New South Wales (IPART has determined the maximum fares that can be charged for Sydney Metropolitan and private outer-metropolitan bus services from 2nd January 2008. For privately operated outer-metropolitan services, IPART determined maximum fares that are harmonised with metropolitan fares. As a result of fare harmonisation, fares for most passengers in the outer-metropolitan regions have decreased, but fares for some tickets has increased.

3. School Travel 2008

School services for 2008 will be published on the website by the 24th January 2008. These services will also be advertised in the Blue Mountains Gazette.
